ABOUT

One of the things I love most about the Jacquemus brand is that their inspiration is clear as day. They’re very minimal, yet playful and nostalgic (in a clever not cheesy way). Obviously French culture (specifically southern) is at the forefront, but we also see art, objects, and food often used as motifs.

Lately, I’ve been on a blueberry kick so that’s how this all started. I further drew inspiration from Le Panier Seau (Jacquemus’ wicker bucket basket) and the recent surge of 3D art the brand has shared on socials, created by Ian Padgham.

I begin in a cosmic galaxy with a single blueberry finding it’s way out of a maze. The maze is in the shape of a J btw ;). The blueberry finds its way out of the galaxy through the a group of clouds. Finally it lands into Le Panier Seau with its fellow blueberries, chillin’ on a Mediterranean beach.
